What Book Are You?

That depressing?
Frantz Kafka- Métamorphose is mine I think. I couldnt stop crying over it.

That's a good one too.

There are times I think I will wake up to find I've turned into an insect. How will I explain that to my subs?

Give them the book to read.
If you think they could handle it...... I would not give it to everyone.

There is a web site that you can ask. Apparently I’m The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe! by C.S. Lewis. What Book Are You?

I prefer Tipping the Velvet by Sarah Waters

You're Watership Down!
by Richard Adams
Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you're actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'd be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.

http://www.smilies4you.de/content/sonstige/c55.gifLOL, and here I was thinking Tolstoy's 'War and Peace' or Cathy Cash Spellman's 'Paint The Wind'!!

wow what an insightfull question, and yet I have no answer lmao...will have to think on this one

I think it's because it wasn't one that was ever meant to be answered, lol. I was bored last night and it's the first thing that popped into my head.

I have something of a problem with saying the first thing that pops into my head. :/

Laurel-Marie, I have never heard of The Lover. Who wrote it?

Start making them surf the net for certain Hentai pics right now. I'm sure Aeroil could help out with this. ;)

Oh! Yeah, I forgot the most important part. Once they find said pics, give an order that the only time they can masturbate to orgasm is when they are looking at them.

This is a tough question. There are lots of characters I admire in books and wouldn't mind being like, like Little Dorrit for instance (Dickens), and whose circumstances superficially resemble my life's, but I don't really think I'm anything like them or the book.

Back to the drawing board. :/

I'm really appreciating this thread, by the way. I read mostly genre junk and there are a lot of good better-quality book suggestions here for me to pursue. The fact that they come recommended by other people is a big plus.

i find it interesting people have chosen august books to represent themselves. i tried Metro's link for perspective,

and came out with:

You're Love in the Time of Cholera!
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Like Odysseus in a work of Homer, you demonstrate undying loyalty by sleeping with as many people as you possibly can. But in your heart you never give consent! This creates a strange quandary of what love really means to you. On the one hand, you've loved the same person your whole life, but on the other, your actions barely speak to this fact. Whatever you do, stick to bottled water. The other stuff could get you killed.

Clicked silly enough to be correct, so i'll stick with it. And it does beat The Phantom Tollbooth.

You're Anne of Green Gables!
by L.M. Montgomery

Bright, chipper, vivid, but with the emotional fortitude of cottage cheese, you make quite an impression on everyone you meet. You're impulsive, rash, honest, and probably don't have a great relationship with your parents. People hurt your feelings constantly, but your brazen honestly doesn't exactly treat others with kid gloves. Ultimately, though, you win the hearts and minds of everyone that matters. You spell your name with an E and you want everyone to know about it.

Maybe..... some 20 yrs ago.....
I have extremely good relationship with my parents (especially since it is only possible by the phone).

There are maybe 2 or 3 people that can even affect least hurt my feelings anymore....

And I stopped a long time ago making people spell my name properly. (Funny enough they always spell it correctly in Germany though its a Russian one really).

I think I would be Alice in Wonderland, not because I would be Alice but because my mind works in a jumbled up eccentric way :D

I LOVED that book. I read it in seventh grade, and i wont say it changed my life, but it was by the far the best book i had read until i got A Clockwork Orange two years later....

My brother gave it to me to read when I was ten, and I've read it literally hundreds of times since. I'm not really certain why I have such a profound connection to that book (or did as a kid/teen anyhow) but it was my comfort, my security blanket that got me through the shitty high school years. I still pick it up and read it now and then, although I practically know it by heart LOL.

There's a short story by Oscar Wilde that I get all my friends to read if they want to understand me its calledThe Happy Prince and it had more of a profound effect on me than any other story.

It is especially poignant to me because my granddad recorded himself reading it for me just before he died as it was his favorite story. He was a wise man, and I loved him greatly. The story he recorded helped me grieve and even at that young age (about six) spoke to me about things like sacrifice, service and social conscience that proved central to my character as I grew older.

The story touches me in ways nothing else has ever come close to.

Sometimes

I feel like I'm blank pages, at others lots of lines crossed out. Is that weird?

You're Siddhartha!
by Hermann Hesse
You simply don't know what to believe, but you're willing to try anything once. Western values, Eastern values, hedonism and minimalism, you've spent some time in every camp. But you still don't have any idea what camp you belong in. This makes you an individualist of the highest order, but also really lonely. It's time to chill out under a tree. And realize that at least you believe in ferries.

Hm. Out of curiousity sake, I do believe in faeries. *shrugs* Otherwise, it's close.

Hmm... I get this from the book quiz: Hundred Years of Solitude!
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Lonely and struggling, you've been around for a very long time. Conflict has filled most of your life and torn apart nearly everyone you know. Yet there is something majestic and even epic about your presence in the world. You love life all the more for having seen its decimation. After all, it takes a village.

It does ring some bells.

I get Watership Down from the book quiz.. I've taken it before.

That is one of my favorites, but of his books, I'd say Shardik is more me, though I know not many people have read it.. it's an excellent book.

I must have hit a wrong key somewhere in the quiz....it claims I am Dune?
LOL :D So this describes you ?

You're Dune!
by Frank Herbert
You have control over a great wealth of resources, but no one wants to let you have them. You've decided to try to defend yourself, but it may take eons before you really get back what you feel you deserve. Meanwhile you have a cult-like following of minions waiting for your life to progress. This would all be even more exciting if you could just get the sand out of your eyes.

 :p

How odd... I picked Anne of Green Gables because it was one of my favorites as a child and I read it constantly. I still try to maintain Anne's spirit in some of the things I do. Then I read the description of it from the link in Seduce's post...

Holy snark it all if it wasn't *me*.
Wanna change? You give me yours and I will give you mine :)

Hundred Years of Solitude...... not bad..... although a bit creepy at the end.
