I felt the same. About that one and about A Little Life.Might not have started it if I knew what it was about. That subject matter can get really dark. I really enjoyed it though.
I DNF this one at halfway through. Has great reviews but just wasn’t my style.Red Rising by Pierce Brown
This looks interesting. I need something fluffy and feel good next though.A Little Life.
I’m like this with movies and books.I tend to go into a lot of books blind which has its pros and cons![]()
I read Beartown but didn’t know it had a sequel.Moved on to Beartown by Fredrik Backman and now I’m on the sequel, Us Against You.
I love a book/movie/song that completely tears me apart. And that did it for sure.Honestly wish I never read A Little Life. That one just about did me in
Totally. If you like misery, it’s one to put on the list, but it’s long and heartbreaking. This looks interesting. I need something fluffy and feel good next though.
Agreed. That book is traumaticHonestly wish I never read A Little Life. That one just about did me in
Same but with Lit storiesI basically alternate between "real" books with hockey smut as a palate cleanser in betweenThankfully there is no shortage of hockey romances out there hahaha
Ohhhh, that sounds good!!!Just finished; Fire and Ice - Vincent Hunt (very good telling of the Nazi scorched earth retreat for Arctic Norway)
Just started; Agent Sonja - Ben Macintyre
I went through an extended Nesbø phase (yes, I know that ø is pretentious). Loved almost all of it.The Snowman - Jo Nesbo
The Fall of Hyperion - Dan Simmons
