I enjoyed this and Kindred. Think I listened to the latter. The Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler and there is an eerie prediction of Trump and the LA fires in it too
How is that? Dungeon Crawler Carl got me over my previous distaste of litrpg. I’m currently trying He Who Fights Monsters and it’s….all right. Not particularly well written but entertaining enough. I’ll finish this book and see if the other dozen still seem appealing. But the Wandering Inn was also on my radar,Still on the Wanderinf Inn. It will be a while before I get caught up.
It’s in my TBR pile. Are you enjoying it?Spare - Prince Harry
It's an interesting book. Obviously all Harry's perspective ... but again it's his life story he's telling. Easy to read very short chapters/segments make it pick and put down. It’s in my TBR pile. Are you enjoying it?
Any good, I haven’t tried any beyond the original three books, which I loved?Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
That one was an emotional readLittle Life
Love when that happens!
It's so much fun for me going in used bookstores or those places that have stack and stacks of books all over and finding that one little gem I've thought of for a while!Love when that happens!
In my last trip to the used bookstore, I found:
• 2 hardcovers by authors I’ve wanted to read more of (Allende & Dickens)
• 2 paperbacks that I’ve already read at least once and loved
• 1 hardcover set in an era I’m interested (Tudors) in by an author that I’ve never heard of, and…
• 1 hardcover 2023 release that made it onto my WTR list via a Goodreads recommendation (this 1 is my current read: Mercury Pictures Presents by Anthony Marra)
…all for $1 each!That 2023 hardcover alone had a cover price of $28.95
