What are you watching?

I watched the latest Superman flick, mostly just to add it to my superhero 'list,' because I was unimpressed by the trailers. It's no gem, but it's not as bad as reviewers would have you think.

The problem, an often issue, is the tone, but bad scripting is the ultimate villain here. This is a mess that's all over the place, but it's not to say that there is much works very well. This flick goes from silly to goofy to downright dopey, which is the result of bad screenwriters and the director, James Gunn, who allowed this asinine farce to go forward.

There is much to enjoy here - not just the great action, but great emotional moments - just disregard the meaningless bullshit.

Next was Burner, a low budget flick that defies logic and character motivation, but still remains fairly effective. If you watch, be prepared.

Now, I'm halfway Through Rampage, another low budget flick about a loser who engages in a killing spree. There is no insight, and nothing redeemable here. There is no 'message' - just a brutally merciless film with a decent budget for ammo and squibs.
