Thinking that folks here can be incredibly kind and supportive!

Thank you to All of you who have been kind enough to comment and message me.

It was nice to awake (far too early) and see so many people had reached out.

Hearts and hugs and roses for all y'all

Safe travels and prayers for you and yours.

I’m dreading seeing how much pay I have had cut, for being off sick.. health or rent... it was a tough choice!

I know damn full well that I purchased a delicious fried cherry pie last night, and now it is missing, along with a bottle of cheap chardonnay. Everyone is a suspect!

Some guy walked past a tree, saw some sap dripping down a tree, thought ‘I’m gonna lick that,’ and discovered maple syrup.

That happened to me once. Got up after a good night with friends who had dinner and stayed over. Following morning:

Me: Oh no! We forgot to have the pudding!
Everyone else: Errrrrrr. No we didn't...
Me:

How could they have any pudding if they didn’t eat their meat?

That pudding in the UK generally means something other than the desert cup of pudding we think of here in the US. :)

Pudding = dessert = the sweet course you have after your starter and your main and your cheese*, if you're not too full.

* there's always a debate about whether the cheese comes before or after the pudding. In France it's always before. In the UK, it's debatable, and may depend on whether there's port
