1 day of work left and then I’m off 11 days. Pre-op appointment tomorrow and my procedure on Tuesday. #letshopeidontdie lol

I'm thinking I can't wait to play with my band tomorrow. It's gon' be GOOOD!

What's the sign for "Oh for fuck's sake" because I really need to know it.

Isn't that where you just throw your hands up in the air, shake your head, and walk off?

(Fun fact - I once told my children the action of throwing your hands up like that was Greek sign language for "good grief" )

Nothing kicks you in your gut more than hearing someone you like use the phrase 'my girlfriend' and it ain't you.

Posts in another thread about lying and trust have me thinking of a certain someone I used to be ‘friends’ with. She would lean on me, confide in me all the time. Ask me to support her in things she was undertaking. She sent me a friend request on fb, but blocked me from seeing her updates. (Why send a request at all??) but would tell me daily what’s going on in her life anyway. Close friends would ask me about her status updates, not knowing I couldn’t see them. “She mentioned homework, has she gone back to studying?” And I always knew the answers.

She would phone me crying about events in her life, and talk to me for hours. But when I needed advice on a topic she is qualified in, she ignored me. She comes into my work and still gives me updates on herself, I’m still on her fb, but blocked from seeing updates. She always tells me “I need to talk to you - i’ll call you later!” And I immediately roll my eyes internally, because I know she won’t. And I don’t want her to anyway.

Why are people like that? I guess she’s just some form of emotional leech. Sucking out all the sympathy and support she can get. I don’t entertain her anymore.

Respect to the guy who wrote “jingle bell rock” for talking a really big game with that title and then delivering the absolute softest shit on earth.

Thinking what she is missing, and how lucky someone else could be.

I'm having the most unexpected chemistry with the mail courier at work.

It's funny, isn't it? I had something similar with a UPS guy a few years ago. It is the fact that the interactions are mutually beneficial, they are very much time-limited but there is a chance to talk a bit, they can be looked-forward-to because they happen regularly, etc.

Couple double whiskeys before I start my paperwork. It’s all that was left in the bottle, and there’s no sense in keeping a near empty bottle, right? So it’s sensible to finish it :D
