I can dress a deer and skin a coyote, but I've never processed a chicken. I'm thinking I'll stick with that.

Go with the flow. Be zen. Pick a few threads and follow them; don’t try to keep up with everything.

Might want to avoid the General Board at first.

Start posting under people in the A-Z threads. People will get used to you.

You can turn your PM's off if you need to, or block people who are the most pestiferous or creepy.

Otherwise, take your time, let people make their own minds up about you and study the threads for the ones you want to participate in.

I’ve never even opened the threads that are just a letter.

I avoid the GB because of politics.

But yeah, I second the first paragraph - pick a few that are fun for you and get to know some personalities.
 
3 more days of work and then off for the next 3 or 4 months. Everyone tells me I should be happy about that, but I'm not really. I'm kind of dreading Friday.
