What Are You Thinking? Continued 4

Ice seems to be more therapeutic than the heating pad. We have a foofy anti fatigue mat at the sink so dishes are not a problem (plus being short I need not stoop at the sink)

Today is a better pain, painwise.

Sorry to hear that your son has the same issues.

Core and lower back exercises are key and I think that many of us overlook them (I know that I can sometimes skip them, to my obvious detriment).

I've told my son to dose himself with Ibuprofen. I could be wrong, but me and a doctor friend who's my age eat it like candy to fight inflammation. My son is worried about his liver, but he's young enough to handle it. I take it at bedtime, and get up feeling a whole lot better.

Well damn...who'd have thought. I racked up high level step counts with my Fitbit using a sledgehammer, splitting wedges and a splitting maul. Ah well... clearing up that mess is a change of pace anyway.

Sounds like a good honest day's work. :)

That moment when you start a new book by an author you love. Expectations are high, and then.... it’s .... Just. No. Good.

😭

I have a stack of partially read books like that, hoping that one day I will go back to them and like them more.

Life is so short. I never want to look back and feel like I wasted most of it.

This^^^^^ I watch every day as a generation of skilled workers now retire and pass on,people I've known my whole life and for some of them most of their careers. Never to see one of them take a early retirement or walk from the job to spend the big $ they earnt.

Sounds like Lots of fancy medical words. Common occurrence in men as they age. Exercises are very beneficial, as is taking breaks from sitting or leaning forward too long. Heat and stretching are used to release the muscles that are tight around that area. Massaging works well to relax the area, even a quick 5 min. one does the trick. But definitely exercise and stretching will prevent that pain from happening and also guard against serious injury in accidental mishaps.

Today has been a better day.

Moving definitely helps, but there are times when a man needs to be at a desk. Unhappy times, but still.

I think that long term it has diminishing effects, and I sometimes wonder about their efficacy. I might have less inflammation NSAIDs rarely do much for pain.

Vicodin, on the other hand, has taken away pain and never made me feel groggy or foggy.
