If your really want to pick up an instrument and don’t want to struggle to much I highly recommend a Harmonica, you can keep one with you at all times and practice literally anywhere. I started off with just 5-10 minutes every time I was free to do so and now a year later and I play in a band every other Friday at a roadhouse nearby and for a good beginners harp you won’t break your bank. $40-60 range.

Also, I’m thinking this probably should have been sent in a pm but if anyone else was thinking of playing they could use my little rant as motivation.

I know exactly what you mean. These kids are different today and it's hard to imagine them making mature decisions. But, somehow they do and somehow they get through it. I'm not saying it all goes without bumps in the road, it doesn't. But, they do find their way and we have to give them enough room to fail. They learn a lot from messing up, way more than when they don't mess up. Trust in Yourself

My stepson is in the middle of his first year at Michigan State... I NEVER thought it was that kind of money.. He's doing well tho, so it's worth it. You have my empathy..

Highly recommend --- do a google search on MyScholly.com. It's worth it to have access to this database of scholarships. One of my kids got a pretty good scholarship that was more than $10K and really helped a lot. Going in state also helps. Let me know if you want to chat about it.

My wife and I have 5 kids between us. One year, four of them were in college at the same time All that FAFSA stuff, deadlines, tuition, books, computers, phones, sororities, etc. was a nightmare. Thank god it's all over and all five are out. Fortunately, almost all our kids did get scholarship money of one sort or another. Now they are all living on their own and are financially self-sufficient. We feel real good and are very happy to see them doing well. It makes it worth all the money and effort. Unfortunately, when it was all over, we had no retirement savings, so that's what the focus is on now. SMH

Use it it within 48 hours and get another wash for free.

Kind of a twofer. At my place they offer that with the higher end washes, then the second one is a basic wash. The scanner when you go in scans your receipt.
