Many years ago, it was slightly better. Now they don't even bother to hide it.

They used to give people a week of vacation after a year most places. Now that is just when you start to accrue time off. At less than an hour per shift worked.

So... My partner and I.... Have a running Dad jokes list, she was having a rough night yesterday .... And I googled dad jokes for our 90 minutes remaining 4 hour car ride....
And read her dad jokes.... Some she had already read, some she hadnt, some where one liners and neither of us could figure them out....
But about 5 minutes from home, she says "is this how you felt when I read the calendar"
(I purchased her a dad jokes desk calendar because our son likes jokes)
Anyhow, she felt better knowing I was as equally as annoyed as she was but also as happily invested in the situation
