This month is really hard on me, I cried a few times already. I lost my brother in 2019, which was suicide. So many people tell me to get over it but I feel how heartless it is to say that to somebody else. Everyone grieves differently.

Many of us here have lost siblings, so please don't feel alone.

I lost my brother in 2006 and my younger brother in 2018. I don't know if we ever get over it. I  still become a total wreck in May - my brother and I were inseparable right up through high school.

Don't let others tell you how to grieve, but if you need help, don't be afraid to reach out to someone.

It should be illegal to send someone a shower invitation a week before their birthday. I opened that fancy little envelope thinking it was a thoughtful birthday card for me, but nope, an invitation to spend money on presents for someone else

(FTR, I love that person and the sender hosting it and will be happy to attend and celebrate their happiness and shower them with gifts! It’s just the timing that was sus.)
