Today, for the second time this week, someone I see quite regularly said to me, "You look nice," when all I was wearing was jeans and a thick old untucked WearGuard workshirt. I detected a hint of surprise on both occasions, and now I'm wondering just how much of a slob they think I am the rest of the time.
