What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

I saw two horror movies in the last few days that recently were released. Both had interesting plots. Each was completely different in "tone" than the other. And both simply could not sustain the elements that made them interesting.
"Immaculate" turned into somewhat of a mystery that kept me entertained until the final 15-20 minutes when they threw away the plot they built and just became a movie with a lot of people dying.

"Late Night with the Devil" was similar in that the plot was really very strong. The acting was strong. The clever filming and plot twists were riveting. It also had me hooked - until the final 10-15 minutes of the film when they clearly did not know how to end the movie.

A shame. I had high hopes for both movies while I watched them.

I'm thinking a new picture spammer has emerged from the bowels of the web.

What, are you now Siskel and Ebert? Ffs no one likes a spoiler. 🙄

Horror flicks are crap.

Some that toss in comedic content are less crappy. (Scary Movie type flicks.)

Yeah, sort of. It really isn't necessary.

George Carlin did, but not in every performance. Many were the same way. Even Pryor when censored was still funny. Same with Eddie Murphy . But think back to George Goebel, Don Rickles, Jackie Mason, Avery Schreiber, Harry Anderson, Milton Berle, and so many others. On TV they were just as funny as in the club acts, even though TV was cleaned up then.

There was a whole thread here not too long ago about female comics too.

I don't think it really adds anything of value to a joke, same as gore not adding anything of value to a movie.

The idiotic film Johnny Dangerously created a new set of words to avoid some problems. Those words became jokes in their own right.
