What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

Gender identity is what gender you feel you are or identify with (sometimes the most).

Sexual orientation is what gender identity you are attracted to or want to have sex with (sometimes the most).

If you identify as genderless you do not identify with any gender at all, and if you happen to be sexually attracted to people who are of an identifiable gender (whatever that is) that therefore makes you straight, by definition because they’re opposite of you.
I fully appreciate what is happening in society, but the past was much easier to understand.

Men, Women, Crossdressers (of both sexes) and Transvestites (of both sexes)
Some Straight, some Gay, some Bi.

If you identify as genderless you do not identify with any gender at all, and if you happen to be sexually attracted to people who are of an identifiable gender (whatever that is) that therefore makes you straight, by definition because they’re opposite of you.

So I am trying to get my head around the logic of this. A man with a penis that says he is genderless, which is his right but science may have other ideas, has sex with another man and you say he is straight ? And if two genderless people of the opposite sex have sex does that make them gay ??

The more we label...the smaller our World becomes. I am not sure this is as beneficial to society as a whole as people think.

Let me bring up 2 examples outside of gender and orientation so as not to be perceived as an attack. Because it isn't.

In our 12-step program...they have women 's and closed meetings. I feel it violates our traditions...I only attend open meetings and just let those that feel they need those meetings be. Why could this be an issue? In small communities...there is a limited number of people...recovery...available. if you limit what you can hear...because it cannot be available due to meeting guidelines. What happens if you get cancer...and the only meeting you attend is a closed woman's meeting...and there is no one there that has experienced cancer? But in an open meeting...maybe someone you never talked with has? Does it matter if it is a guy? Or a non-addict?

A different tangent...someone posts a personal add. They are looking for someone. They write 3 paragraphs describing exactly what they seek. Now comes the fun part. Stats. Let's assume 10,000 people read the add...and the sex is equal. You want a male. So that's 5,000. You want a specific age group. Multiply by the frequency available...say 10%. So 500. You want fit. Multiply by frequency...say 50%...so 250. You want a specific education...Multiply by the frequency...say 10%...so now you are at 25. You want someone in the same time zone so they interact with you at your demand...Multiply by the frequency...say 10%. You now have 2.5 guys to choose from. And you haven't got into their height...eye color...weight...hair color. See the issue?

So...if people want to label themselves...cool. if they want to look for something specific...cool. But there are consequences.

Same. I think I’m closer to 20 years and every once in awhile I’ll smell a clove cigarette and want one so bad. They’re so bad though…
Cloves are the only ones who I smell and want to smoke. Standard cigs make me gag. But I'm so clean and sober that I would die for a fix, some days, and cigarettes are the least bad of all options.
But here I sit, and deny myself.

I can’t…this whiter than white woman is asking the most ridiculous and offensive questions to the nail tech. The other nail techs are making faces. Everyone is being so polite but I’m about to lose my shit.

Offer her a spray tan to compliment her nails?!?

You got this chilly. Don't let her get you like that.
