This is why a lot of women won't chat with "new guys". Men should be angry that these alts make things hard for them.

I've been me for many, many years. Alts and site jumpers ruin so much. Some of us are real. We just watch it all happen as there is little else we can do. We just suffer the consequences caused by it all. And you all have to deal with them. Sad for both.

I agree. I think, because of the same reason stated above, many are not read. Nature of the beast, I guess.

That used to be a thing years ago. If it came across with a read receipt, I ignored it.

I believe you used to see if it was read or not

I know you could make it so you could see that, but it wasn't an automatic thing.

You should be honest. That can be done in a kind way. However, some people just need to be told straight up!

I wasn’t talking about myself, was just looking at posts and it had me thinking. I am usually honest or don't answer the questions. I lost a lot of potential friendships, by telling the truth or not answering the question ( I do it with a stern look ).
