At what age did you start hating your birthday? When I was 15, I didn’t want to turn 16. I didn’t think it was fair that I was so chronically ill for so long yet was having another birthday. How about you?

You mean hating getting older or hating the birthday deal? I’ve always vaguely hated my birthday because it comes at a time that was inconvenient for my parents for much of my life & therefore it always felt like a chore to them. I never minded getting older until this year. I know it’s just a number, but 50 feels different.

There are three big crows (and a bunch of little ones) that come around here and they've gotten to the point to where they'll "caw" until I toss them out something
