Yes! I think AV consistency is very important to being recognizable. I get very thrown, too.

This! There used to be a poster called Wild Honey. She was a prolific poster and changed her AV like other people change socks. I was always scrambling to keep up and figure out who its was chatting so comfortably on the board.

Fortunately she had a pash for the older, sepia tinted photos. Otherwise I would have been hopelessly lost.
