I’m kinda a renaissance nerd. In general I know enough about a lot of things to be too much for folks who aren’t into it, but not enough to be interesting to folks who really are into it.

I think my biggest current nerdoms though are rpg theory and history and G.I. Joe comic book lore

I'm rated 1832 ELO in chess. 1800-1900 is about as far as normal people can go without hiring a chess coach. I read whole chess books that are 100% chess notation, with barely any "normal" words in English at all.

Jelly! I saved those pics as inspiration when I was decorating one of my Final Fantasy XIV apartments. I started out thinking it would be a southern sleeping porch with entire walls of windows and curtains, but based on the available backdrops, some burritos gifted from a friend, and a then-upcoming Latin American-inspired expansion, it ended up being a Yucatán-style suite:

That looks very cozy!

My sleeping porch does have windows all around that can all slide open, and the floor is like a regular porch with gaps between the planks. So a lot of the outdoor sounds come in.
This made for an interesting summer last year when the neighbours didn’t realize how loud they were!

It’s also a great place for a budding exhibitionist
