Yeah, my stupid fucking phone is still set on Beijing time because I've never activated it through a carrier. And it doesn't adjust for daylight savings, so that post your reacting to was what reminded me about the time change. So I missed helping out at my local food pantry.

So I was in the shower this morning contemplating human existence and I suddenly realized something incredible.

Pizza is the only thing we have truly conquered.

If you think about it, we have all kinds of different types of pizzas, different ingredients, different toppings, different styles of cooking, but none of them have made pizza better, only different.

No matter how we approach improving pizza, we only succeed in making different, perhaps equally enjoyable, but not better, pizza.

We have perfected pizza as a species.

And I think we should celebrate that as a unifying accomplishment.

Best of all, we can celebrate that accomplishment with a pizza party!

This time we lose the hour. We never get an extra hour. It gets taken away in the spring and given back in the fall.
