What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

Hopefully you didn't mind the face being there.
I don't mind but..can he at least pay rent? Help with chores? I don't him watching if he helps out.
Ok who did you piss off in a past life?
🤷🏼‍♀️
There are already guys on lit who are annoyed she's sat on his face and not theirs
Hey now.. I only said that about @SirConradPeckereye just to get him to hush up. He was rambling and needed to shush up for a while.

Most likely your flashing is leaking around your chimney.
Like the base of the chimney?
I feel so dumb when it comes to this stuff. I don’t even actually know what flashing is.

Had this same problem last year and had the chimney “water proofed” and the cap replaced, AND a metal piece covering the top of the hole because it was too noisy.

Do you have a classic fireplace, with a brick or metal chimney up through the top of your roof? The flashing is the metal that protects between the roof and the chimney. The gray and black metal on this picture.

Now if your chimney is capped, and it is raining hard enough, that may have failed in some way, which is easier to fix.

The flashing is a metal lining where the chimney meets the roof and provides a waterproof seal.

Brick. But fuck if I know about the rest. I’ll call the chimney guy on Monday.

You said it was raining "inside" the fireplace. If that is all, and it isn't leaking down the outside of your chimney where you can see it, as in inside the house proper, you my just have an issue with the protective cap on top. Not that you can fix it now, but it hopefully isn't that much of a problem.
