I kept telling her to leave him or she was going to end up as a Lifetime movie. A year and a half ago, he beat her up in front of their kids and their friends. She finally filed for divorce. It’s been dragging on and on. She messaged me tonight that she thinks it’s finally over. I think I’m so fucking proud of her!

It is never over for abusers. I know it is wrong...and shouldn't be...but she should never drop her guard.

I'd make sure I had my CCW and training for protection.

The karate school my son went to in Michigan gave free classes once a month for women to learn some basic safety "maneuvers" - not sure if that's the right word.
