Absolutely a heartbreaking movie.

Wasn't it, but really well done and very moving. Having been to NZ and met a few Maori people in a couple of bars like that that we inadvertantly wandered into, when we were travelling thru, it really struck home.

It was honestly harder to watch the second time. The violence is real and hits hard. Another movie that did this to me was In The Bedroom. Tragic.
