Updating a couple web sites, writing an article about Developmental Disabilities Councils for a popular periodical, pedalling my stationary bike, drinking coffee, listening to music (currently playing: Don't Phunk with My Heart), and IMing with a dear friend.

Soon, I'll have breakfast and start writing smut.

Procrastinating while I make up my mind what to do next. I can either:

a) Read my new book about women's social lives during the Second World War
b) Try and finish writing a story about nuns
c) Lapse into degeneracy and slope off down the beach for the rest of the afternoon

Oh and watching three, youngish, not so bad looking (from afar) guys building a house across the street, directly infront of the window behind my computer screen! Hmm life's a bitch!

Next step is to get dressed and hang laundry outside and do yet another load before the neighbour starts a scrap fire.

I'm working in six windows, posting on Lit in another. I wish the ratio were different, but there you go.

Occasionally checking to see if my new story has been approved, which it hasn't, and still wanting to write. So now I have to think about that. Which is good, I like thinking.

Hello Aurora!

Hey Diva and everyone!

Right now I'm sitting here in a towel, checking the clock and estimating how long it will take to dress and walk 20 blocks to the music school, and which songs I'll perform for my final exam (which may or may not be today). I'm thinking: Am I prepared? I'm taking special breaths to make sure before I get my lazy butt away from the PC.

Deciding on which story to edit first as I have 6 on the backburner;
Listening to my daughter sing to her heart's content because today was her last day of school;
Laughing at the silly jokes my friends send me;
Going through emails and asking myself which one I should answer first and which ones I can delay for a day or two;
Staring into spaces......

Checked on the family members overseas that had to go take care of another (we determined altho I would be the best choice to go, stopping school again would piss this other member off because they are a teacher... so instead of sending just me we sent two others... in some weird way that made me feel good that it takes two of them to replace me)
watching my new mini pin, named Imani, sleep against my leg (puppy purchase was before major family melt down)
wondering if three of my very good friends are doing okay today

Waiting to see if the gosling gets out of bed on her own, or if I have to go kick some arse.
