How was that book?

To be honest, I read the Twilight series when it was the whole boom for it and I wasnt really impressed by Meyer's writing. What did you think about this one? If you recommend it, I might have to give it a shot!

If you didn't care for Twilight or didn't think it up to par, you won't be impressed by The Host. I actually liked the Twilight series, I think mainly because it gave me and my teen queen a common interest, but when I read this one the 2nd time around, I wondered why I ever bought it for my Kindle.

Somebody just gave me "Defending Jacob" by William Landay. I just started reading it. Meh.

I hate to be a book snob but I was a little concerned when I saw it was part of Target's Book Club.

Hah, well it's good that it was something you could share with your teen, but yeah, if its the sort of Twilight thing, I think I'll pass on it, got way too many books to read still and I feel like life is too short for that!
