What are we all writing right now?

Any SF fans? Wanna review? It's only ~3,000 words.
I don't know that I'm particularly qualified, but I can certainly take a look if you like. I read and enjoy a fair bit of science fiction.

Oh man, you do poetry?! Cool! Can you help me? I am wracking my brain - what's a word that rhymes with "silver"?
Due to my brain retaining random facts from quizzes I saw years ago, I happen to know that "chilver" does. But as it is a pretty archaic British word for a ewe lamb, you may find it hard to work into your piece 😁

I've finally finished the first draft of the naked hiking club, part four! I'm fairly pleased with the direction everything went, so now it's time to spruce up the ole prose.

Funny enough, my favorite parts of the story are the quick, cute, intimate moments among the "club" that surfaced in this chapter - good morning kisses in a five person group, teasing and banter, cuddle puddles, tickle attacks (all non-erotic). they're sweet characters and I like writing them 🙂

I have the third book in my "blue" series. Even though it's semi-autobiographical, I still don't know how it ends.

I have a truly dark story, that I only work on when I need to exercise demons.

I have started writing the 4th season of Henry Agent of Hell. Only the first season is published so I have a long runway. It's my comfort food story.

Are you submitting it right away or saving it for the nude day contest?

I've decided to take on a self-imposed challenge. Well, one part of it isn't self-imposed, someone posted on it here. Write at least 3 stories for the 750 word contest, one from each POV. I've written the 3rd person, now I'm trying the 2nd person (though it includes 1st person elements so I'm not sure it counts?)

My PYL also has mentioned he's not really into 2nd person stories - so I've imposed a challenge on myself to write one that he actually enjoys reading. Who knows how long this will take me, but since I don't have any inspiration for a second Winter story or a Valentine's Day story - this seems like the next best thing, with poetry in between when the muse strikes me.

I just finished the first draft of my entry for last year's holiday contest. Now, I'm struggling with trying to hurry through editing in time to submit it for this year and going slow to do it right.

The good news is, if I don't get it done in time for this year, it will definitely be ready for next year! (Finger crossed…)

"What did you run up the hill for?" is close. Or, more Lit-appropriate, "What did you think they call me a MILF for?"

What did you call that werewolf a milf for?
She'll rip you to shreds and call it a sex tour.
Don't buy her jewelry, the silver will kill her!
Show her your bone and call it The Thriller.

I'll be submitting this chapter when it's done, regardless of contests. Hopefully there'll be a chapter of this story for that contest, though. It's a perfect match.
Remember that contest entries have to be stand alone stories (sufficiently to not require reading others and not just named ABC part 22)

Many years ago I wrote a family orgy fan-fiction piece that ended around 160k words. I’m re-skinning it to remove all of the FF elements and doing some editing and re-structure. Should come in at about 16 10k-word chapters. My plan is to release a new chapter every 2 weeks. That will give me 32 weeks to finish my other novel.
Hoping to finish the first pass before the end of the year so that I have time to finish my Pink Orchid challenge story.

I read this as family guy orgy fan fiction and couldn't believe my eyes

Sure. I could easily, with this group, write a standalone story.

The Naked Hiking Club in my story was active for two years before the "plot" starts so I could just do one of their hikes before the current arc.
