What are the chances?

Well, for an actual infection, you doc asking you to sweat it out is unethical, since true sinus infections requie antibiotics to recover from in a timely matter.

They can check to see if it is a true infection by a simple blood test.

That baby can catch worse froma shopping cart.

I would ask the parents what they think, wash your hands frequently, and avoid holding the child.

Thank you for the advice. :D

I'm going to try to hold off going to the emergi-care center....that gets expensive.

I may have caught this from him...I've spent the last couple of days watching him and he doesn't know to turn yet when he sneezes.

Exactly what are you saying? :p

Exactly what you think I'm saying you manslut! ;)

Geez...who knew I'd go from discussing a snius infection to an education in ganga. I think I'll pass on the ganga though. I've lived without it for 32 years so far.

You could get Pfizer calf scours tablets at a feed/farm/ranch store.

They are oxytetracycline- ( terramycin) . That will probably work against the infection for less than the price of an office call.

If you just want to avoid symptoms for the holiday- try vicks dayquil.

Soooo...my cold did not go away in 8 hours. What a shock.

I so do not like being sick. I can't breathe right when I lay down. A runny nose is not very sexy.

Merry Christmas, PB! I hope being sick doesn't completely ruin it for you. :rose:

Merry Christmas Chey! No, being sick didn't completely ruin it for me. I just didn't get to cuddle my baby nephew as much as I would have liked...I didn't want to give him my cold.

Consider the cold a lucky thing. Help in warding off baby lust (if you're prone to that malady).

Merry Christmas to you too! I did hold him a little while he slept. He was all warm and cuddly. I love those sighs they make when they get all comfy.

One of my cousins had his new grandson with him today. I held him until i started to cry, then gave him back. My cousins have grandchildren already and they're only 10-12 years older than me. Thoroughly depressing.

Think i'll find the alcohol my sister has hidden here and get myself over it.

Until you started to cry? Why were you crying?

Ah, I'd have cuddled away. Trust me, he'll treat you to his creeping crud more times in the future than you will ever get him. Little kids are walking germ machines. If I spend much time with the nieces/nephew at all, I'm guaranteed to catch whatever the latest cold of the day is that they have passing through the family.
