“Beste Zangers” (literally “Best Singers”) is a popular Dutch TV show where well-known artists take turns performing emotional, creative cover versions of each other’s songs. It’s less a competition and more a celebration of music, emotion, and connection, often leading to powerful, heartfelt moments on stage.


That’s exactly what makes Beste Zangers so special. Glenn Faria wrote Duurt te lang as a subdued, almost resigned song about loss and exhaustion, a version that gets under your skin because of its calm honesty. Davina Michelle completely turned that around; she sings it with such raw intensity that the song stops being about acceptance and becomes about fighting, about refusing to give up. The same lyrics, yet two entirely different truths, and that is the magic of music: it can carry the same words but touch a completely different heart each time.

the fit song became somewhat of an internal joke to us as it perfectly represented the 'progress' of one of the projects we used to work on when the song was constantly being played on the radio .
