Brushing her fingers lightly over his cheek she looked lovingly into his eyes. "you have made me the happiest girl in the world" she said with a smile. He had truly improved upon his gracefulness in dancing, and led her with ease. She had thought for a moment she may have forgotten how, but it soon came back to her in his arms.
As they said their goodbyes and began to make their way to the next villiage. She smiled thoughtfully over the question he asked her. "It's not our people that I have reservations over. It is the people that found humor in my degradation and humiliation. But I believe with time, and support of our pack I will be able to rise above that. I have born witness to the love and admiration they have for you, and their genuine happiness over our soon to be union. You have blessed me with not only your love, but a new family, and a new purpose."
Each village they visited the same reaction was found. Chelsea had noticed one girl in particular did not seem so pleased. She did her formal greeting but lacked the warmth and happiness. Her face had stayed stationary. She had noticed her staring at Trevor close to tears. It made her wonder if perhaps they had been lovers, and the girl had hoped for more. To her benefit she hadn't acted outwardly on her feelings. But there was a definite anger brewing behind the girls eyes, and a deep pain of heart break. Chelsea had remembered that feeling over Trevor when they were younger, and that pain that had thrust through her body when he left.
Trevor could have easily had his pick over women, but he had come for her in her broken state. Now she would be his wife, and the mother of his children. That had to be hard for someone that had yearned for that to have been them. "Darling" Chelsea said softly as they began their ride home from their long day. "I would like for you to teach me how to fight. I believe if I have confidence in being able to protect myself it will aid in my self confidence."
