Just wanted to stop in and say hello. Things have been so crazy in r/l that I haven't been on even to say hello. My husband and I have seperated, its been about a month now. Things are going ok. They are tough but I am just trying to decide which is tougher, being alone with him here.....or being alone without him here. I hope you all are doing well. HELLOOO MY LOVELY SISTERS!!!!

It's wonderful to see you having such fun together! Kissy kissy...

I had a beautiful time in Italia, I am missing the place I christened the "sacred mountain" somewhere two hours from Torino in Piemonte. My friend's grandfather has a house there so 8 of us crammed into it for a weekend... there are fig, pear and cherry trees and the views are amongst the most stunning I have ever seen; rows of hazelnut trees, fields and hills and winding roads. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to go there, there was also a swimming pool in the village nearby which was overlooking the green fields.
Oh and the food .... amonst my favorites were anything cooked by my friend's mum - chicken, stewed peppers, mushroom risotto, mmmm, salmon with parsley which my friend cooked, parma ham and melon (so much better in its country of origin), a special local stuffed pasta, agnolotti with butter and sage, mmmm and PIZZAS with any kind of topping you can think of.
If any of you haven't been to Italy yet, you MUST go! I have been about seven times now, and it gets better every time!
The people I met were good fun, one guy loved Wham so we listened to that for the car ride! The girls make me laugh, they are so fussy about how things are done, everything has to be cleaned at least twice, and there was a storm one night which was magnificent, but the Italians all stayed in the kitchen frowning about the 'tempo brutto' - bad weather, instead of admiring the lightning and the full moon, as my husband and I chose to.
On the last night we stayed in Marghera, 15 mins from Venice. You all must go to Venice!!
It is so tranquil, they call it La Serenissima, it is so much better to go there than see the pictures, as you can appreciate the winding back streets, enjoy getting totally lost and then suddenly find an incredibly beautiful church with candles lit as prayers. There are a lot of people walking by the canal grande, all different nationalities, which I love, hearing different languages, but just two streets back there may be no one, or only a few people. Burano is a little island a boat ride away from Venice, where all the houses are small and pastel coloured, it's adorable. Then there is Piazza San Marco, the one you see in the pictures, with hundreds of pigeons, which sometimes fly in huge flocks overhead.

I hope you all go there one day! Write to me if you want to hear any more about Italy, I know quite a few of the regions!
