I decided that today was a good day to make a German Feast. Out came the crock pot and I got to cooking.

One package each of Weisswurst and Bratwurst were dumped into a pot filled with beer and boiled. As these were being boiled I peeled and chopped an apple as well as an Onion. Half of the Onion went directly into the Crock. The other half was sauteed then dumped into the crock.

Out came a package of Saurkraut. This was dumped into a collander and rinsed with cold water a total of three times before being added to the Crock.

A palmfull of Fennel Seeds, a Bayleaf and a half can of beer were added to the Crock along with the boiled Wursts. This was all mixed together before the crock was turned on to low and allowed to sit for several hours.

Oh man what a feast this made.

Ach, du Lieber that sounds good! The only thing possibly missing were bowls of spatzel and red cabbage. :D
