well summer is winding down.....soon it'll be fall! How was your summer. Mine was just grand! Got a nice tan, went to the beach and surfed almost every day, lost a lot of weight (mostly to the fact I got really sick for two weeks and couldn't eat) and I'm keeping it off. Plus I've been working out a lot so, whew, if only you could see me now! Arms and check are getting bigger and tighter....yeah I'm happy, finally with the way I look again, and hey my baby likes it so that's all that really matters.

Well I hope you all had a great time. Until then...take care ya'll!

the kids went back to school yesterday. My camping and canoe trips with Girl Scouts are about to begin again. My kids sports are about to start back up. No more relaxing evenings at home - now it will be go go go all the time! I'll miss summer!

Summer was...eh

My summer wasnt really anything that spectacular this year...

worked nonstop, which is what killed it really...but i gotta look on the bright side...i got to go to a couple of wicked awesome concerts...i got back together with alot of my old friends from before highschool, which are really the people i shoulda stayed friends with all along...and, of course, the whole lifting program is still in high gear, so along with that and the whole UFC obsession, i'm one mean kick ass machine. All in all, nothing great, havent had a "great" summer since i was like 13, but still, wasnt a total blowout.

The Summer of 2002 had to be, hands down, the worst Summer of my entire life. The good news is, it ain't over yet.

Ditto. It was so hot here, and still is, that it killed my desire to do what I enjoy alot, gardening. I usually start in the spring, maintain everything through the summer, and then start again in the fall, but this year, I just couldn't get into it.
If it weren't for boating, I probably would not be able to say I did anything at all this summer, other than being here. :)
I am a Spring/Fall kind of girl, anyway.

UTL, its nice to see you again, and I'm tickled that things are so good for you now. Yes!:D

The Summer Months

I have had an average summer, enjoyed some unique opportunities found some new sites to perk my intellect up and get my body back in to shape. I enjoy fall even though I am in a place that the season really doesn't change. I will be going up to the mountains and viewing the changes though just for the sake of saying I have seen a change lol. I hope that the rest of the year is treating you well.

Good day folks don't run over a fence!

Don't say summer's over- I still have 2 more weeks...

How is it that so many schools are starting already? I don't have to go back to work until September 3rd!

I actually start classes at Umass on september 3rd myself...cant wait!

My realization is that....

Time off in any form is too short. My vacation being what it was did not fully recharge me. I am missing some things, and it pisses me off that I have this obligation to go back to work on Monday. Although my attitude to work may be the reason why my boss likes me, and has shown great faith in me and my mind. Hits ans misses as she has said.

Really we as people need to relax more and even when we are on leave from work it never really feels like it because you know you are working the next day. I am envious of those that do not have to work again ever. But I am also envious of those that have that love everything about their job every second of the day.

So while summer is drawing to an end, I will give you this on many levels.

Trust that one day these gaps in time will be remembered from long ago, small moments in time that hold partial memories. Ever vigil we are to not forget these instances we invariably do, and it is our fault. We cram everything into a shortened time span and revel in making our lives harder than what they need to be. Lawyers are a perfect example, we hate them but we created them out of necessity to understand every little thing that occurs. The trick to this is that we will look back on all these things and realize that the day that we were thinking about was 6 months ago, not years....

how sad it is to blaze through life and not understand that simple moment.

Summer is winding down? really? I hadn't noticed. Things are just starting to really wind up here in Hawaii... temperatures are soaring, and the beaches begin to look better and better. But, truth be told, I am counting the days until I go back to school, if only because my friends (one in particular!) will be there. *sigh* Summer's just not the same without friends to share it with.

:rose:

Summer is NOT almost over, buster! I still have two weeks and four days, that;s eighteen days people, of bliss!

Seriously, I start classes on the 4th. I can't wait!

Good summer! Kid back in school, not coming in at 4 am every morning, then sleeping till noon. Getting ready for new things to happen, can't wait.
