I don't particularly blame Laurel - I pulled quite a few annoying antics here, and I can see how her patience with me might have wore thin.
I'm just showing that the forum rules are enforced arbitrarily.

There are some dubious behaviors being reinforced on Lit. (cheating, open marriages, stalking of posters whose ideas they disagree with with creepy shit).

There's a clear callous masculine mentality here ("It's all just businness, as long as I bring money in it shows that I'm competent, and the means excuse the end result.")

I never felt that Laurel was quite that way. Misguided or under pressure from lobbying groups, as Ish suggested? Perhaps. But she's not that type.

I seriously doubt that she owns the website. She's just a credible, public relations person.
