Well it's starting

The partying has started in this area. I know it has, I can hear the sirens near and far. (Not to mention the fireworks.)

Someone has already tossed a couple of larger "Crackers" on the main road in front of our place.

How are things at your place?

It's chill. My neighbors are evangelical Christians and vacant cornfields, usually not a problem. We're having some mint tea and cookies. *snore*

It's blistering cold and quite windy but they went out to have a street party anyway. I slept through the actual moment. Having a sandwich and coffee now.

It's about 20 below outside, things have been quiet.

I should correct this and say that it was really quiet until midnight when a raccoon knocked over the trash can, I recieved a barrage of text messages and the fireworks from a first night celebration scared the dog and he jumped into our bed....
