It only hurts if I put weight on it, so clearly the solution is to stay close to the computer. Of course, it wouldn't do to let it get stiff from lack of use, so the occasional cane-assisted trek to the fridge for a beer is essential.

Sacrifices must be made. And I was so looking forward to sweeping the patio and doing dishes, too.

If you don't mind me asking how did you do it and how bad is it ?

I fucked up my knee a couple of years back and the injury became arthritic(sp) and now I can't do sport and I've been told I'll need an operation a some point.

No biggie outsider.....fly to Indiana, best knee and leg hospital in the world here. They get lots of practice with the Indy and NASCAR drivers crashing here all the time.

Woo hoo! My ISP is working again! I'm baaaaaaaack.

How did it happen? I was walking across the room, and between step A and step B something went 'snick' and then another something, namely me, went, "Ow! Fuck!"

It's probably just a symptom of fibromyalgia, though I've never had a knee go out before. If it doesn't go away in a day or so, I'll get it looked at.

In the meantime, I tried Drambuie for the first time tonight. I may become a lush over this. What can I say? It eases the pain.

my left knee has been fucked up since i was 15... sports accident..

It's the left knee. Doesn't hurt much if I stay off it. Could be much worse. My ISP could still be down! Now that is suffering.
