One of his advisers wants to mine the Moon.

I don't know if that can be profitable, but at least any efforts made in that direction will produce a cornucopia of spinoff technology. Money spent on R&D is never wasted, regardless of whether the results are what the spenders intended.

I'd vote for it if they will shoot Newt Gingrich to the moon!:)

They'll probably break it, and we'd all have to look at a broken moon every night.

They'll market it as a corporate property, same as the rest of Great Leader's empire. Expect TROMP MOON LLC soon, incorporated in Delaware. It'll be YUGE! The tax breaks alone will eclipse China's economy.

And there will be a giant "TRUMP" sign and we'll have to look at it every night -- even when the Moon is new, because it will be lit up.

Or they could use it as a new missile launch pad for all the extra nukes Trump wants to create. That's a top idea isn't it! :)

Likely the person is heavily invested in aerospace.

On the bright side it'll take so long to actually make it happen Trump will be long gone.

He's playing catch-up with China. China intends to mine the moon, not for water (I am guessing that RawStory got this wrong) but for Helium 3, fuel for fusion reactors.
