This forum will be for authors to plan stories, talk to other authors about adding to a story, ask for feedback, give feedback, discuss stories, or anything else you want.
I just had an upsetting thing happen. I wrote a new thread to "Alex- Devil's Blood" and tried to submit it. I was logged in as instrucetd and when I hit submit, I got an error message, and the part of the story I'd just written was lost. I thought it was really good, too. I maintained POV and tense, and kept with the storyline. I was spicing up the story, and now it is gone, drifting in cyberspace somewhere.
I am cursed with rookie-author syndrome. I apparently was imppatient/excited/didn't understand. I went back to the story after a few minutes and my thread post is now there. Either you or the editor was able to fix the prob, or I was just being a doofus. Thany you, either way!
Is your thread the one that doesn't show your name? I can't figure out why the one thread showed up without the name of an author.
FYI - when you submit a thread it doesn't appear right away - the original author of the story has to approve it. That way the stories are moderated by the person who started them.
Is your thread the one that starts: "Your hands tremble on the steering wheel for a moment before you get out of the car..."
Let me know and I'll fix the author problem and try to figure out why it didn't list you.
More likely my mistake than yours! I think it's fixed now.
I need to work on the documentation for the site - need to make sure people know that threads will have to be approved by the person who started the story before they appear. As I said, it's a work in progress!
Thanks for letting me know about the problem you had!
