When the wife and I were still dating, it was nothing for us to have sex 2-3 times a day, as long as we were both horny enough. heh.
Well, I've found that about a year before the wedding (and ever since then) we have both gotten to the point where twice a night is nothing but a fond memory. She can usually take more than once, but i find myself too tired to perform after the first round.

Well a few weeks ago i started weight lifting (With a Bowflex if anyone's counting). three times a week, using their "Strength training" program in the book that came with it.

Well, coincidentally, since then, it seems a lot easier to have sex more than one time a night. in fact the last two times my wife and I had sex we did it twice within 15-30 min (that is, finish once, relax/cuddle for 15-30 min, then i'm ready to do it again). And after that SHE was too tired to go on, i think i probably could have kept going if she was willing. I'm wondering if this could just be a coincidence, or if its really the weight lifting?

I'm no stranger to excercise. I ran XC in high school, got lazy for a few years after that, but then picked it back up again. That didnt seem to do a thing for me (sexually anyway), but its almost like the weight lifting is what's making it easier for me to... "recover" after our first romp.

Does anyone else have experience here? Or if not, would anyone else be willing to give it a shot? Start hitting the gym and see if you get the same results i am?

Thanks.

Well I'm no "Arnold" but I do go to the gym 4 or 5 times per week, and I like to think I stay in pretty good shape. I run on the treadmill, use the elliptical trainer, and do some light weight workout on the various machines. In addition, I run in the occasional road race, usually 5-K or 10-K distance, though I have done 1 marathon and a couple of 1/2 marathons. I also ride my bicycle when the weather is nice, though I don't like riding on busy streets. I've always stayed pretty active, so I don't really have a sexual energy level that's "pre-activity" to compare it to.

All I know is I can fuck with the best of them...I guess that's good enough! :D

It's a good thing that you're no "Arnold." Have you seen the shoulders on that guy? Very unbecoming on a beautiful woman.

And based on reading some of you latest posts, my guess is that your "All-I-know-is" statement is true in another sense as well. :rose:

You're welcome. And my ass has been called many things, but wise hasn't been one of them. :D

Are we talking about recovery time here? If so yeah, I notice a difference when I'm working out regularly. Exercise raises the metabolism and increases blood flow, which gives your muscles faster recovery abilities. Anything that enhances circulatory and cardiovascular health will increase your sexual prowess(physically that is). ;)

EJ needs to come back here so he can talk about weight lifting and make sexually derrogratory remarks about himself. I can just picture how amusing it would be. *sighs wistfully*

There's nothing unattractive whatsoever about muscular shoulders on a beautiful woman.

sex is cardio... so anything you're doing to improve your fitness level is going to positively impact your sex-life. the more fit you are the better sex you'll have in quality, endurance, frequency, and the whole nine yards.

also remember that the genitals include muscles just as the rest of your body does... a man can train his PC muscle to facilitate multiple orgasms (learning to control the muscles allows for orgasming without ejaculation) and women can do kegels to strengthen the vaginal muscles to increase/decrease pressure at will. so work those muscles just as if you were doing curls and squats.

happy humping!

Any excercise helps somewhat. But weight-lifting is anaerobic excercise and works differently than cardio. My theory (unencumbered by any actual knowledge :D ) is that it triggers your hormonal system. I've noticed just the effect you are talking about with weight lifting. With cardio I just generally feel fitter.

if this is in response to my post above, i should clarify something... what i was saying was that because sex is cardio, it can improve when you're more fit, regardless of what method you use to obtain that increased fitness. i didn't mean it to sound like sex was related to either aerobic or anaerobic workouts in a direct sense.
