Take up gardening. I know, it sounds ridiculous but it is without a doubt the thing to do.
Why? Three reasons
1) It shows your nurturing side.
2) It shows your functional side
3) The flowers thing. I buy flowers almost every day. My wife believes that I do this as some gesture of my love for her. While this isn't completely untrue, I mainly do it because new flowers give me a new toy to play with in the house. I buy flowers on days when my wife isn't home. She'll come home after being gone for a weekend the house will be filled with new flowers and she'll think I'm the sweetest thing.
"Ohhhh, you did that for me"
"Uh, sure, why not."
Trust me, if you're having problems with the ball and chain get the gloves on, get muddy and start planting.
