Web cam

Do I have to use a web cam? or can I just use a digital camera and hook it up. I just want to make sure whether I need a web cam or can I just use a digi cam.

There are some digital cams you can use, but not many, I strongly recommending NOT buying the cheapest thing you can get. I have a Logitech 3000 webcam, around 100 bucks ( I think model 4000 is what is out now) but you can get them cheaper on ebay, it works really really well for all of the things you would need.

I have a very cheap web cam - about $25 - and it freezes up all the time, is out of focus, and the color/lighting isn't all that good either! Might be worthwhile to get the next step up! lol
