Help me understand why are we still fighting this war? Hell, the feds can't keep drugs out of maximum penitentiaries so how on earth can these people keep illegal drugs out of America?

Now, I realize that many in ATF have big dicks playing with their high tech toys, but maybe we need a new approach...Just saying that this war on drugs shows how insane some in government are, after all, we are simply repeating the same mistakes from the prohibition days.

Time to make drugs legal. Use the tax revenue to support rehab places and fund part of Obamacare?

Reagan had good intentions on this. He really did. But the war on drugs evolved into a legalized money making scam for all levels of gov't. And we've allowed this to get 'swept under the carpet'? What I'd like to know is how the US has benefited from such a long term scam that was based on good intentions that were working for a brief period?
