Nah. I'm into the Middle Ages as much as Romans. Living almost next door (8 miles) from a medieval walled city that's built on top of a Roman small town focuses my interests in those directions. I've managed to get onto three digs within the city (two on a medieval hospital site and one on what turned out to be a Roman riverside industrial area).

Now the entire history of the USA, that's "recent events"!!

Fair enough. The history of the Americas is ancient, and no offence meant to anyone who has a direct link with it. But I'll still stand by what I said and reiterate that the history of the USA (as a state) is recent.

P.S. Had a little fun with the MS Paint program and undressed my weemee avatar! This is how I looked when I did the London World Naked Bike Ride last June - completely nude except for cycling sandels (OK and a helmet too, but my artistic skills don't stretch to that, so he's got a sweat band instead) and adorned in blotches of blue body paint. I've put a few brown dots between the spokes to represent pubes, but no more detail than that, so no point magnifying the image in the hopes of seeing Beastie's wee beastie!

People tend to forget that the Americas didn't just pop into being when all those direction-challenged Spaniards landed here.

You're right - as a country, the history is very brief, but before that, there were civilizations here to rival Europe's.

I registed with the site after creating the Weemee, then used the export link, selecting export to forum etc. then selecting Other for the site name and choosing to save as a jpeg. Make sure you save a version that's less than 150 x 150 pixels, though.

And since I wanted to go onto the Naked Party thread, I thought I should shed my AV's clothes, so I used MS Paint to undress the wee fella. Thank goodness my AV has a cycle wheel to hide his modesty (though since he's based on how I looked for the London World Naked Bike Ride it's strange that I should feel embarrassed - I cycled stark naked through central London for real but am embarrassed to draw a willy on my AV??).

Mine is close too, down to my hair being parted slightly off-center (which I don't do on purpose, it's just how my hair falls). But it's probably kinda sad that I'd love to wear that dress with the wings in real life.

Well, I didn't mean sewing, necessarily, though I wish I could do it too. There are lots of times I know exactly what I want and can never find it.

I was thinking more along the lines of the wings. Have you checked Ebay? I found some really cool stuff there for cheap.

Mine's pretty close, except for my hair. I've never been able to make any custom av look like me as far as my hair goes. It's just a riot of curls, sometimes long, sometimes short. The hair styles never seem to match how my hair is and the ones I do find, make me look like a boy.
