I'm happy being able to hold 6" at 500 yards.
It's all about natural ability and practice. With a coal train of luck tossed in there too.

Yup.To augment your comment, I found this on a video from a news cast. It shows the position of the shooter and Trump. how the hell was he able to get to that roof without being detected? Yep, they screwed the pooch royally.

When the Revolution comes, you're a lock for the bronze medal in civilian collateral damage.I know about coal trains.
So I cleaned my EDC 9mm this afternoon because reasons. A clean EDC piece is a happy EDC piece.
So I can continue to be a mean guy with a gun.
Because the Pantheon hates a pussy . . . .

I actually don't clean my EDC any more often than necessary for it to function without stoppages. I'm thinking that if it's good enough for the long range shooters it's good enough for me. Plus it just flat out looks like it means business all the time.
What if:
what if the Crooks kid is just the fall guy???
Any dumb ass that "jerks the trigger" when using a 5.56/.223 ought to be slapped, hard. If he had shot the rifle a few times I don't think that would have happened. On the red dot, 1.5" + or - at 150 yards, that means another + .5" or more at 200 yards, yeah? And you're talking about ideal conditions with match-grade ammo. Under those conditions, a good shot can do just as well with post and peep sights. An excellent shot can do much better. I also don't think he had enough foresight to buy good ammo so he was probably using off the shelf factory loaded ammo, which, depending on the maker and firearm used can add inches to the point of impact.Yup.
Re. the shooter and the head bob. Both most likely. Good red dots are 2MOA dots which means that the dot subtended ~ 3 inches at the approx 150yd range, or +/- 1.5 inches from point of aim. So the shooter did not zero his sight well, jerked the trigger, and/or all of the above. Then there was the head movement, slight though it may have been. It all added up to damn good luck for Trump.
Various security experts have been warning about Trumps team for quite some time now.
What it comes down to is an incompetent person behind the rifle, which I am happy was the case.

???? WTF are you talking about? A coherent post would help. The first shot almost blew trumps head off. Plus he had just bluffed a cop and trumps head was moving around.
