Nobody will, which is why conservatives disgust me as much as progressives. People are busy, easily distracted and have no memory, which is why things are at this point. I heard about something the other day that made me think of an idea I had rather long ago about EVs. I don't watch TV so I don't know if this is old news or what, but here's a great example of tyranny ushered in quite subtly. I guess CA is considering a $0.30 per mile tax on vehicles using it's roads. I thought, this is exactly what I knew would happen and here's why and the TRUE agenda is NOT EVEN REVENUE. First, EVs were never about climate, I won't even explain that it's too obvious to argue. And the entire move to electric power is easily one of control, where ultimately an algorithm will have the power to shut your entire power off from a central point. By the way, the new model of arrest and detainment WILL BE house arrest. Back to this CA tax. The logic sounds so rational! You want good roads, right? EVs are heavier, etc. and of course don't use gasoline, whose cost features a hefty tax which is now being lost. States are not allowed to run on a deficit, yadda yadda. You can't expect CA just to kiss that gasoline tax revenue goodbye, can you? Each sentence a valid point, and one could be forgiven for missing the huge logical fallacy - the entire thing presupposes there was some need to mandate EVs in the first place! So now this tax. But...it's not just a revenue grab, I think revenue is the ruse, the real goal is: How are vehicles to be taxed per mile? That would require tracking! Now we're at the true agenda behind this, the answer which will show itself in whatever system they use to track every vehicle AND driver. Probably some sort of device in the vehicle, your DL as the "key" you slide in like a CC in order to start the vehicle. I worked this out on paper but the end game is individual level tracking via a device inseparable from the body. I took some leaps for brevity but as much as this may SOUND like some never-will-happen dystopian future, we're already 85% there at present. The first time I read "1984" was in 1977, I was 12. It became my favorite book, still is. If I had a line on paper from 0 to 100 one side "constitutional republic" the other end labeled "Oceania" (from 1984) where would you put the U.S., right now? Mid-point? Probably not, biased to one side or the other...I know where I would put us and it'd be at about the 90% mark. Not a constitutional republic.
And we're still waiting for those alphabets to come to take us away.
