My best friend being shot and killed in ambush by his meth head brother in law enlightened me just fine, thanks. That and being raised partly in Oakland CA when the Black Panthers were enjoying the backlash scared whites brought down when they tried to assert their 2a rights.

Conservatives- including Ronald Reagan and the NRA lobbied for gun restrictions then.

The “I don’t give a fucks” are the ones who are going to stir public sentiment against gun rights. They are going to empower those who seek restrictions.

I own guns. I like shooting. I’ve fired more than 600 rounds in the last two months. I keep an ammo case on my front porch as a sort of warning for people who might think my house is a target. I’ve been shot at. I’ve had guns pulled on me - by cops who mistook me for someone else who had been shooting at someone else. I’m not ignorant or sheltered.
