Ah memories! Way back when firespin took on AJ's then-current alt for a conservatist vs libertarian debate over the so-called "fair tax". That's probably the biggest public beatdown I've ever seen AJ take, watching him flail about and announce renters would GLADLY pay the new 35% sales tax on their apartment rent if they didn't have to pay income tax.

Oh and that $10,000 bill that AJ had to pay out of pocket for his bout with "new moania" in the hospital would have ballooned to about $13,000 with the fair tax surcharge....I wonder who would pay that? AJ out of pocket? (he didn't need no obamacare back then!) or his insurance company nowadays (why is muh premium going up?)

The point of government is the “state” which is collective interest.

The Bill of Rights is intended to protect individual rights as states act to protect the interests of the collective.

The interests of both individuals and communities are enshrined in the constitution. Individualists only want to recognize selfish interests and ignore the definition of “state” and mistake “prosperity” for personal gain because they don’t understand the word actually means the collective future of society.


While we’re at it, what is the definition of the word “Union”? (Don’t take my word for it, please look it up)


The constitution was designed “…in order to form a more perfect Union.” Is there a way to say that refers to anything other than society as a collective?

No it isn't. "Collective", "CO-OP", "Union", all mean essentially the same thing and that is individuals coming together for common interests and/or goals. The core essence of all of them is 'voluntarily' coming together. The notion that the winning of an election bestows dictatorial powers on the winners is a mind set that cannot be tolerated in a Federal Republic. Fortunately, so far, the Supreme Court understands that and that is the reason that so many of the Obama/Biden era dictates are being overturned. That obviously goes for Trump as well and he suffered losses before the High Court as well. What Trump DID do was appoint judges that are true to the Constitution and not suffering under the fantasy that it is a "living document."

I have a theory concerning that. Discipline has become lax over the years. In the home, in the schools, and now even in the workplace. Children need, crave, guidance. They need to know where the fence lines are. Is it any wonder that we have an entire nation of unruly children, misbehaving, and listening to people that are telling them that misbehaving is the proper thing to do?
