Merely stating the obvious, the little trolls that scamper through this thread leaving their odoriferous droppings don't have the slightest clue as to why the Second Amendment even exist. When challenged on the subject they run off to their Master's seeking guidance and then come back with what ever the current miss-direction passed down from on high happens to be today. God forbid they should actually exercise whatever critical thinking they may have left and go read some source documents so they could actually speak on certain subjects without sounding the fool.

Looking back throughout history there are elements of every population that embrace the notion of 'Secure Slavery' yet have the audacity to call themselves 'Free Men.'
 
So George said that Freedom is Slavery. I wonder sometimes about the inverse - is Slavery Freedom?

I cannot imagine being stuck in GroupThink like our nutless wonders. Pendejos sin huevos.

Off in a bit to get the weekly report from our public servants. The "brass caddy" was tied up on surveillance last week, hope he remembers to bring the stuff in this week.
 
The whole shebang is off the the gunsmith on Monday. He's going to do the re-barreling, crowning, and muzzle threading. I'll be grinding the stripper clip hump off and drilling and tapping for the scope mounts. When that's done it goes off to another smith to do the bolt handle, then off to a third party to do the hot caustic bluing.

At that point it's time to order the stock.

Going out to the range this AM to work with a young fellow originally from Taiwan. Got his citizenship back in Dec. after years of work and legal fees. Now that he's a citizen he's 'arming up' to the occasion. So I'm going to spend the morning instructing him on the care and feeding of his brand new AR. I suspect that a Glock is next on his 'I want' list.
 
No. A newly minted citizen is ultra-patriotic and will want a Smith and Wesson, .44 mag.

Please tell him that Wat welcomes him to our fine nation of 'Murrika, and perhaps educate him on the proper first amendment rights and usages on how to hurt the feelers of the hyper-tender.

He was raised on spaghetti westerns. Very popular genre; modern samurai.

He'll want a reliable and familiar revolver.
 
Wat likes his model 19, although it doesn't get to travel. Travel is for the higher capacity types.


Ain't a damned thing wrong with a three five seven as far as I can tell.
 
I never don't factor in the macho, but I also consider practicality. If a .357 won't git 'er dunn, then skip right on up to a .454 Casull.
