Saw and agreed with many of your posts in other sections and respected, but… as just shown, you DON’T explain your beliefs here on the PB in a cogent manner and wallow too much in gray area falsehoods and false equivalence. Where is the gray area? I won't support any organization that abides abuse. Not hard to understand. I watched the NFL for close to forty years before I gave up, and its getting worse every year as many of these kids are already committing crimes in college and getting drafted and handed millions.

As for political beliefs. Again, both sides have issues that are against women. One is more blatant, the other more insidious. Again, where is this gray area? Or is it just my beliefs don't align with yours? They don't have to.

I've seen too much real life evil inflicted on women by a variety of men to buy into any political party actually caring for them. If I need to please you by swinging at the other side, I have often said that women raised in a conservative (like strict conservative) are victims of political and religious Stockholm syndrome. Under the thumb and don't even know it. I'm sure that you would side with that comment.

I think you're trapped in the common thought these days that everyone has to have a side and be in a box and I don't fit in one.

I find that remaining somewhat reasonable upsets them. Its like when you see people like Shapiro go to liberal colleges and he's making reasonable arguments and all they're doing is screeching. I've never lost my temper on the internet. Not really in person either, staying calm while some idiot yells like a child amuses me. Long as someone doesn't touch me they can freak out all they want and I just let them keep making themselves look bad.

This thread is fascinating as a microcosm of the study of "progressive" thinking. I have been called everything but a child of Allah and then have been blamed for being the hater. I have tried to use what some would call a program of attraction. The results aren't. The responses are pre-pubescent at best.


I know you're right - be above the fray. But Freedom to think and to choose one's destiny seems to be a powerful trigger. And neither side of government is the answer.

The NFL is a sport made up of human individuals who may date superstars, kill spouses, donate to charities, and also kneel after scoring. If you choose not to watch because of any of those individuals then fine - the sport still exists. The Republican Party is led by a rapist. Let's set the record straight. I have volunteered at a shelter for women for over 25 years. I teach a free self defense course and help out in other ways. My wife for over a decade counciled women who were beaten and sexually assaulted.

I can tell you with no hesitation that the abuse of women is 100% bipartisan in every way. Rich/poor black/white Christian/Muslim Republican/Democrat you name it and there is a faction of them that think the abuse and assault of women is absolutely fine. It is the one thing that type of man can agree on.

This bullshit that only "rightwing" men are dangerous to women is disgusting misinformation. You're telling women no one who votes red can be trusted, but hey, if a guy has a Biden bumper sticker on his car just hop on it. I worked for years in forensic psychology / psychiatry, and it was quite common for sexual predators to "volunteer" / work at centers for abused women, to prey on them in their vulnerable condition.

Sexual predators also "volunteer" / work at centers for those with mental disabilities for the same reason.

A guy on a sex site, "professing too much" about their efforts at keeping women safe, to the point of gratuitously injecting the information into a conversation, throws up all sorts of red flags…impo.
