Not enforcing the laws on the books is, and has been, a major problem. Far too many DA's were willing to drop firearm charges for a guilty plea on an offense such as robbery. State and Federal prosecutors were guilty of that. When Barr came in as AG he ordered that no more Federal weapon charges would be dropped for pleas on other offenses, I have no idea as to whether that policy has changed with the new AG. I'll ask my Fed. friends this coming Fri.I'm wagering that we have no fucking idea whatever if we're even enforcing what laws are on the books. Like when the prohibited people fill out a 4473 and lie on it, what happens? They need to get their fiver (or more if other things are ponied onto it) and let us know that we're prosecuting this stuff. A Zero Tolerance level would be a good place to start. Then talk to me about more laws/regulations if this isn't enough.
Funny, no one wants to discuss this.
Either way, confiscating my shit won't change the crime rates in the slightest.
