Ok, ok, one cool story about Alexander! During the Balkan campaign he had to march through a narrow pass and hostile tribes had set up two wagons in the hills as cover for their archers.

Sensing a trap Alexander told his men to be ready to drop to the ground at any moment.

When the tribesmen cut the wagons loose and they started rolling downhill at the Greeks, Alexander’s men dropped as he had instructed so the wagons rumbled harmlessly over their raised shields. Then the army stood up, raced up into the hills and slaughtered the archers. So cool!
