Australia had a mass shooting with a AR style weapon, I am not sure which. They outlawed them and they turned in. There has not been a mass shooting in Australia since.
- Age-adjusted firearm homicide rates in the US are 33 times greater than in Australia and 77 times greater than in Germany.
- Gun violence accounts for over 8% of deaths in the US among those under age 20.
Notably: There was a recent mass shooting in the U.S. at a public splash pad where the perp was armed with a HANDGUN.
The perp fired and reloaded twice, wounding 9 people. No deaths as of now, and only two victims in critical condition, but stable and improving.

Now imagine if that perp had used an ASSAULT RIFLE with three high capacity magazines.
